Morphicon 2010 - What I'm Looking Forward To

So Morphicon is only one week away, and seeing as such, I thought that I would compile a list of what I'm looking forward to at the convention. In no particular order, the things that I am most looking forward to are:

  • The excitement of the unknown. Seriously. I have never been to this type of convention before. I can say for sure that I am nervous, but I am also excited. When I went to my first anime convention, I didn't know what to expect either. I was nervous, but at the same time everything was new and exciting. The second time around, I knew more of what to expect. It was not the same experience.
  • Meeting potential friends. I'm hoping to get over my social anxiety and actually talk to people at this event. I have not been very social at past events (I'm just not a social person.), but I have to admit that I'm more in to anthropomorphic characters than I am in to any other hobbies I have. Chances are, if you're also in to anthropomorphic characters, we'll have something to chat about.
  • Discovering my spirit animal guide. I've been interested in this for some time, and there happens to be two panels on this subject at the convention.
  • Meeting other pagans. There are not very many chances that I get to meet other pagans offline. This convention happens to have a pagan panel.
  • The documentary Through Fox's Eyes. I am very curious to see what direction this documentary takes. Apparently, it's supposed to look at aspects of the furry community that are misunderstood or not covered by the media. I am curious to see what questions were asked during the interviews and how those questions were answered.
  • The fursuits. They are cute and fun. Enough said.
  • The dealers room. This is one of those things that I look forward to at every convention. I love to shop.
  • Artists alley. I've heard that quite a few great artists will be there. I can't wait to meet them and possibly get a commission done.
  • The food. Unlike most people, I actually enjoy convention food. The food at restaurants near conventions seem to not bother my stomach as much as other restaurants do. I don't know why. I hear that it's the complete opposite for most other people. I guess I'm weird.
  • The atmosphere. Every event seems to have it's own atmosphere. I'm looking forward to seeing what the atmosphere is like at this event.

Should be fun.
